A small amount of adhesive bleed-through on a panel is not always a bad thing since it shows the glue is penetrating the veneer and getting a good "bite". Excessive bleed-through issues can be avoided by using a dedicated glue roller and applying the adhesive as instructed on the product label. But some users may prefer the assistance of a UV light or black light to better see where the cured adhesive has permeated to the top of the veneer surface.
This tiny packet of UV dye contains 1.4 grams which is enough powder to treat one gallon of various Better Bond™ veneer adhesives.
Instructions
Mix with 1 oz (two tablespoons) of hot water. Then pour a gallon of adhesive into a clean container and thoroughly blend in the UV/water mixture. We recommend the large version of the Ultra-CAT™ hurricane mixer to do this.

Where can I buy a black light for use with this dye?
Hand held black lights are relatively inexpensive and can be found by search online for "pet urine lights".

I had a few problems in my luthier side hustle with quilted maple bleed through that were not visible until my alcohol based stain was applied. The owner of this company suggested that I give this UV powder a shot and I'm glad I did. Used a fluorescent blacklight from my teenage years to check the last panel to come out of the press and sure enough, there were some areas I would have never seen without the UV. I'd post a picture here if that were possible. Very satisfied with this purchase and everything I've bought on this website.
