These are items that generally ship within 1 business day if the order is submitted before 12pm EST Monday - Friday. For FedEx shipments, we will email you a tracking number as soon as your package is on its way. See the chart below for typical FedEx transit times.


Shipping Charges for Continental US
pg-boxes.jpgShipments under 1 lb may ship via USPS or FedEx. All other shipments shipments are sent by FedEx. Our website synchonizes with the rate servers for the carriers and displays the most affordable methods of safely delivering your package. Shipping charges are based on weight, box size and destination as shipped from Forest Hill, Maryland. The shipping charge will be displayed on the checkout page before any payment information is needed. Insurance for full replacement value is included in the shipping charge. After countless hours of haggling with FedEx, I was able to negotiate a decent discount on ground shipments and I've coded our website to pass every bit of the discount on to our customers.

To determine the shipping cost for your order, simply click the 'Add to Cart' button on the product page for the item you wish to order. You'll find a shipping calculator link on the shopping cart page that will allow you to choose a shipping method and see the cost of shipping your order. A refund will be made via store credit if the actual shipping charges are significantly less than the amount calculated by the website software during checkout.

Handling Fees
There is a $2.99 handling fee for all orders under $25.

Dimensional Weight
All of the major shipping carriers now base their shipping charges on the weight and the size of the box. Since we ship a lot of large, light-weight boxes you could be affected by the changes that each of the carriers has implemented. We are doing everything possible to reduce your shipping costs and we have implemented a plan to make sure you never pay too much. Learn more here.

Shipping Notes

  • Items marked as "Free Shipping" are shipped via our choice of carrier.
  • Orders can not be shipped to a guest staying at a hotel or similar location.
  • We can not ship an order on a customer's freight/shipping account.
  • We can not cut down a veneer to make it smaller to ship.
  • We can not offer to hold or delay shipment of your order. When an order is submitted, we are required by our payment processor to ship your order in a timely manner. If there is a possibility that you will be out of town or otherwise unavailable when your package would be delivered, we ask that you postpone ordering until your schedule is clear.
  • Paperbacked, two-ply, and copper veneers are shipped direct to you from the manufacturer. These companies ship using their preferred carrier. Orders for multiple two-ply and/or paperbacked veneers with different lead times will ship together based on the longest lead time posted.

Damaged Packages or Missing Items
Should your package arrive damaged, please ask the delivery person to make a note of it. Then notify me immediately and I will work to resolve the situation as quickly as possible. Do not discard the box or any damaged items in your order until you have notified us and we have replied with instructions. Please do not file a damage claim with the carrier as this complicates the process and will delay any replacement shipments for up to 3 weeks.

If an item from your order is missing/damaged and you notify us within 3 days of receipt of your package, a replacement part will be sent immediately. Please do not delay checking the contents of your order. After the 3rd day, we can not offer free replacement parts.

Address Correction Fees
FedEx charges us an address correction fee for shipments in which the customer has entered an invalid or incomplete shipping address. In this event, we will contact the customer up to two times via email if the shipping carrier identifies and adjusts an error or omission in the customer-provided shipment information. If the correction is deemed valid or if the customer does not reply to our email request for address clarification within 5 business days, a fee of $16.95 per box will be charged to the customer's credit card.

Alaska and Hawaii
All of our products can be shipped to Alaska and Hawaii. You can view the shipping charge and place your order by using the website checkout. A list of the available shipping options will be shown on the checkout page. We offer USPS and FedEx for most AK and HI shipments. We do not offer USPS Flat Rate and Regional Rate boxes.

U.S. Territories and APO Addresses will gladly ship most of our products to Puerto Rico, Guam and all APO addresses through the US post office. You can view the shipping charge and place your order by using the website checkout. However, we can not ship our paper-backed and two-ply veneers to these locations. And due to issues with fraud and package loss, we no longer ship to USVI.

Express/Air Shipments
We regret that express shipping options are not available because of the wide variety of box sizes we use and the practice of "dimensional weight" by the carriers. Please do not ask for one-time favors or special requests as this policy can not be changed.

International Orders
We currently ship to Canada and several other countries. Please see our international orders page for more information.

Freight Forwarding and Courier Services
