We have one sheet on hand that has some sapwood striping along the seam lines. Perhaps suitable for use on the back side of a panel.

These veneers have a pressure sensitive adhesive or "PSA" bonding layer on the back. Veneers with PSA backing are easy to apply and the only tools required are a razor knife and a veneer scraper. Please be certain to order the veneer scraper with your PSA veneer!

The pressure sensitive adhesive provides a permanent bond to almost any smooth substrate that is dry and free of surface contaminants. Common substrates include plywood, MDF, particle board, hardboard, and some metal surfaces. This adhesive layer is manufactured by 3M™ and is applied to the veneer when the sheet is manufactured. It can not be applied by the user to an existing veneer. PSA is often a good choice for cabinet refacing, speaker building, and much more.

What is a "plank matched" veneer?
There are some woodworking projects where the repetitive matching of sequential veneers laid side by side can look a little too artificial for some projects. Plank-matched sheets are made from several different flitches of veneer so that the sheet looks more like solid lumber. Each veneer within the sheet is different in size and grain pattern.

Width:
48" (measured across the grain)
Length:
96" (measured along the grain)
Thickness: 20 mil - The 20 mil backing is most often used on horizontal surfaces with less than perfectly smooth substrates. The actual thickness of a 20 mil sheet is .030" +/-.005".

Orders placed before 1pm EST ship on the same business day.
