If you use your vacuum press for vacuum clamping, this fitting will allow you to directly attach the new version of the lock-on vacuum connector to the vacuum clamping jig.

NPT Thread Size Option: 1/4" NPT or 1/8" NPT

Quick Connect Enables Multiple Uses of My Pump with Ease

Years ago I bought a vacuum pump from Veneer Supplies and it has served me well on the vacuum chuck on my wood lathe. Recently I decided it was time to spring for a vacuum bag and ordered one from Veneer Supplies (see that review elsewhere). The bag came with the quick connect fitting. Since I want to use my existing pump for both purposes, I needed to buy this quick connect fitting to make it easy to connect the pump to the chuck. It is great having a quick connect to switch back and forth.
Building Your Own Vaccum Degassing Chamber

This little gem helped me to make my own vacuum degassing chamber for two part silicone molding. I used a heavy glass container from IKEA and drilled a small hole in the plastic top. It seals perfectly with a rubber washer. This brass adapter is the exact same size as the one on the end of the hose, which is included with the vacuum pump kit.
