This odd fitting has been requested by dozens of vacuum press builders who are converting a refrigerant compressor for vacuum pressing. Please note that this fitting converts a 1/2" compression line to 1/4" NPT (female) thread.

So I used this to fix an older air compressor, not for vacuum applications, but I figure if it can stand up to 50 PSI it should easily be able to stand up to 0 PSI.
