These ball valves are used to create custom vacuum clamping jigs on CNC routers and workbench hold-downs. Each unit consists of a chromium ball bearing, tapered return spring, cir-clip and 13mm outside diameter housing body. The return spring holds the ball bearing up flush against the tapered breach in the neck of the housing. This represents the 'closed' position of the valve. By applying downward pressure to ball bearing, the valve is opened and vacuum pressure is applied to the work piece.
The size is approximately 14mm from the top of the flange to the bottom of the unit. Flange diameter is approximately 17mm.
Keep in mind that these valves do not create a perfect seal when closed.

These Mach Ball Valves have revolutionized how we design our CNC fixtures. We have ordered many dozens of these from Joe over the years and and they are easy to install and do just what they are designed to do. When inserted into the surface of the vacuum cavity, they are actuated by placing the hardwood part blank on the fixture, thus opening the valve to the vacuum force and the parts are held very tightly during the routing process. We've had very good service and delivery from Joe at VeneerSupplies.com and I highly recommend this product for CNC vacuum fixturing.

These ball valves are invaluable for making our CNC modules work correctly. We've used them for years and would be in a tough spot without them!
