Product Description


Our check valves are designed for the utmost reliability and flow coefficient. These are ideal for use in vacuum press systems because of the optimized cross-drilled poppet design and the light-weight poppet spring we have selected. Despite the reasonable price, these brass-body check valves are surprisingly durable and have been included in some of our vacuum kits for nealy two decades.

Available in three styles:

  • 1/4" NPT Male to Male - $13.45
  • 1/4" NPT Female to Male * - $13.45
  • 3/8" NPT Female to Male * - $19.95
* The flow direction is from the female threaded side to the male threaded side.

The 3/8" NPT version of our check valve is designed exclusively for our V4 Premium vacuum press system and uses a different style of poppet than shown in the picture above.

    This is a unique item and would be difficult to find elsewhere. I purchased a vacuum pump from a surplus outlet and copied the fitting setup from the pumps on Veneer Supplies. This item is valuable to maintain the vacuum so the pump doesn't have to run continuously. The small form factor helps to reduce the size of the fitting grouping as I'm always trying to reduce size and weight of my equipment. This is so cool that I should have bought two.

    Vacuum rated check valves are hard to find. Check valves that don't leak are even harder. This valve keeps my buffer tank under vacuum for days at a time. This check valve is needed because my pump vents to atmosphere when the controller turns it off. Tip: The arrow on the body is the direction that air is supposed to flow. Point it toward the vacuum pump.

    I tested this by using my 1/2 hp 5CFM 2 stage vacuum by having it on my vacuum chamber's expel line. I left the line open and left the pressure on this check valve for around 4 to 5 days straight, and there was no loss in vacuum pressure for the entire time. Excellent!

    Tighter than a drum - this check valve works great. And, it pays for itself. Run time on the vacuum pump dropped to way low usage while this check valve protects the vacuum level for the automatic vacuum switch to do its job.

    The check valve works flawlessly. I built an onboard air system for my GMC truck and the valve has performed above expectations.
