This part is the polyurethane flange that is included with our flush-mount vacuum stem. It does not include the brass stem insert. This flange is normally RF welded to our vacuum bags, but it can also be bonded to polyurethane and vinyl material using most vinyl cements.

Be sure to clean both bonding surfaces with acetone or lacquer thinner. After a suitable vinyl cement has been applied, be sure to clamp the flange in place. To make clamping easy, cut a piece of wood 3" x 3" x 3/4" and then drill a 1" diameter hole in the center. Set this clamping block over the flange neck and use woodworking clamps to press the flange flat to the material surface for three hours.
