Bolivian Rosewood Wood Veneer

Rosewood VeneerMention the word "rosewood" to any woodworker and you'll see their eyes light up with interest and excitement. This classic exotic never fails to delight. Many of our customers have sent us pictures of projects ranging from high-end stereo speakers to simple wall cabinets. The one comment we see most is that rosewood looks its best with a semi-gloss finish of lacquer or oil-based polyurethane.

Looking for large sheets of this species? We also offer it in premium grade paper-backed veneer, which can be applied with contact cement and other veneer adhesives.

Tan to medium brown with dark brown and black graining

Did You Know:
There is much confusion over the CITES restrictions on Bolivian Rosewood. We do not believe it is subject to strict export control but our customers are finding huge challenges upon import, and because of this we no longer ship this species out of the country. The veneer shown below was offered to us as Santos Rosewood which is the same as Bolivian Rosewood.

Tip from Joe

I've found that cell phones and tablets display reasonably accurate colors of our veneer photos.

Rendering variations on some computer monitors can cause our pictures to appear different from the actual veneer.
