I've never understood why this species in burl veneer has been so under-recognized. The colors in Pepperwood veneer (Pimiento) are outstanding. Where else can you find bright pink, brilliant red, and random dark "veins" in a single sheet? Combine this veneer with a solid wood counterpart like walnut or wenge and you'll have an outstanding look that even some the best craftspersons have not yet achieved.
