Figured Makoré Wood Veneer

Makore VeneerA mature makoré ('mak-or-ray') tree can grow up to fifty feet tall and four feet in diameter. The warm tones found in this veneer species make a perfect complement to many other wood species. We offer makoré veneer in several grain patterns. Curly or "mottled" makoré is abundant but we also have quilted and other figured makoré veneers in stock from time to time. This species is similar to sapele in grain and texture but with a slightly darker brown tone.

Tip from Joe

I've found that cell phones and tablets display reasonably accurate colors of our veneer photos.

Rendering variations on some computer monitors can cause our pictures to appear different from the actual veneer.
