Figured bubinga is a beautiful and lustrous veneer. It is often used on fine cabinetry and furniture and is known for its eye-catching color and shimmer. The red and pinkish hues in this species are quickly affected by exposure to UV light. With exposure, the pink colors often become more reddish and occasional a dark purple color. The aged color is simply outstanding.
