Quarterawn American planetree veneer has one of the most interesting grain patterns of all wood species. Look closely at the pictures in the veneer below. It's hard to ignore the shimmering buttons and medullary rays in these veneers. A satin finish on this species looks outstanding, but gloss finishes tend to bring out the greatest chatoyance. Planetree veneer is an excellent complementary species to walnut and wenge.
