A mature makoré ('mak-or-ray') tree can grow up to 50 feet tall and 4 foot in diameter. The warm tones found in this veneer species make a perfect complement to many other wood species. We offer makoré veneer in several grain patterns. Curly or "mottled" makoré is abundant but we also have quilted and other figured makoré veneers in stock from time to time. This species is similar to sapele in grain and texture but with a slightly darker brown tone.
