Birds Eye Maple (Dyed) Wood Veneer

Grey Dyed Birds Eye MapleHere is something rather unusual. These veneers have been bleached and then dyed. We're seeing the grey dyed veneers used in automotive interiors with impresive results. It's quite a challenge to get the figure to show in the pictures because of the color. You'll have to put some faith in us that these veneers have gorgeous bird's eye in each sheet.

Common Name:
  Maple
Scientific Name:
  Acer saccharum
Family:
  Aceraceae
Color:
  Bright white
Origin:
  North America
Hardness:
Primarily hard, though some softer maples do exist
Texture:
  Fine, closed pore
Finishing:
Readily accepts any finish. We highly recommend a a water-white lacquer or water-based polyurethane to preserve the color.

Tip from Joe

I've found that iPhones and iPads display reasonably accurate colors of our veneer photos.

Rendering variations on some computer monitors can cause our pictures to appear different from the actual veneer.
