Each bundle of the chestnut shown below has a variety of worm holes likely caused by Cryphonectria parasitica which is commonly called the "chestnut blight" that began in the 1920's. Don't worry... those pesky critters are long gone and what they have left in these veneers is a great opportunity to make a unique and interesting project.
