This species is new to our website and it has already become very popular. Angelim has a grain that is nearly identical to that of wenge but it has a lighter color. This color darkens a bit when a finish is applied but it's no darker than the unfinished color of wenge. Though this tree is not uncommon in South America, it is exceedingly rare to find it in veneer form. Angelim is a beautiful veneer with a subtle ribbon-stripe pattern created by the quarter-slicing technique.
