Even the name of this wood veneer can ignite a certain passion in the heart of a woodworker. This exceptionally rare tree is not often found outside of national parks and preserves. In fact, some species are currently listed as "endangered" by CITES. Because of its oustanding acoustic properties, this species has been a favorite among the world's finest guitar builders.
