US Fish and Wildlife

The Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES) works with more than 180 countries to protect rare species of trees from illegal harvesting. Each country has a government agency that helps enforce the rules and guidelines set forth by CITES. In the US, that agency is the Fish and Wildlife portion of the Department of the Interior. This department works inconjunction with CITES to regulate the import and export of endangered species in and out of the USA.

In observance of the laws set forth by our government, our website has special coding that will halt the checkout process if a restricted species is being shipped out of the US.

To comply with regulations, we will not ship the following veneers out of the USA.

  • Bubinga
  • Cocobolo
  • Brazilian Rosewood
  • East Indian Rosewood
  • Tamo Ash (including Japanese Sen)
  • Spanish Cedar
  • Mahogany

Additional Shipping Limitations: Canada

  • Paperbacked and two-ply veneers shipping to Canada are shipped via USPS only. Please do not select UPS as the shipping carrier if your order contains paperbacked or two ply veneers.

Additional Shipping Limitations: All Other Countries

  • We can not ship paperbacked and two-ply veneers internationally.
