Brass Fittings

This selection of brass parts and fittings that can be used for building a vacuum press and clamping system. I've done my best to buy these parts in bulk in an effort to save you as much money as possible. These are all standardized parts that can linked together. Think of them as a brass version of Lego® toys and you'll find that the options are limitless.

  • $6.40 Brass Adapter
    1/2" Compression to 1/4" NPT
    This odd fitting has been requested by dozens of vacuum press builders who are converting a refrigerant compressor for vacuum pressing. Please note that this fitting converts a 1/2" compression line to 1/4" NPT (female) thread.
  • $0.99 Brass Adapter Fitting
    Hex Bushing 1/4" to 1/8"
    This goofy looking little adapter will convert a 1/4" NPT female thread to a 1/8" NPT female thread. A great item for those working with odd brass components.

    Hex Bushing 3/8" to 1/4"
    Another goofy looking little adapter that will convert a 3/8" NPT female thread to a 1/4" NPT female thread. A great item for those working with larger vacuum pumps.
  • $1.75 Brass Barb Fitting - 1/4" NPT Male to 3/8" Barb
    These 1/4" NPT to 3/8" barb fittings are good to have around for various vacuum jigs and any mods you might make to the vacuum press plans.

    Here's another odd fitting that some might find useful. Basically, it converts a 3/8" NPT thread to a 1/4" barb for tubing.

    1/4" NPT Female to 1/4" Barb
    This brass barb fitting is used to attach 1/4" ID tubing to a 1/4" NPT pipe.
  • $1.75 Brass Barb Fitting
    1/4" NPT Female to 3/8" Barb
    These 1/4" NPT to 3/8" barb fittings are good to have around for various vacuum jigs and any mods you might make to the vacuum press plans.
  • $1.35 Brass Barb Fitting
    1/4" NPT Male to 1/4" Barb
    These 1/4" NPT to 1/4" barb fittings are used on the vacuum press in several areas. Since I found a good deal on them, I thought it would be appropriate to offer them on the site for less than what most hardware stores charge for them.
  • $2.50 Brass Barb Fitting
    1/8" NPT Female to 1/4" Barb
    This is the fitting used to "remotely" mount the vacuum controller. It has a 1/4" hose barb on one side and 1/8" NPT female threads on the opposite side.
  • $1.95 Brass Barb Fitting
    3/8" NPT Male to 3/8" Barb
    Converts a 3/8" NPT thread to a 3/8" barb for tubing.
  • $0.99 Brass Barbed Union
    This barbed brass fitting will allow you to join two pieces of tubing together. Please select the correct szie for the tubing you have.
  • $0.98 Brass Close Nipple
    1/4" NPT
    Approximately .88" long, this brass fitting will allow two 1/4" NPT fittings to be assembled as close together as possible.

    1/4" NPT
    This brass coupler is used to combine any two male fittings with 1/4 NPT threads. This item is also used in Project: V2.
  • $1.90 Brass Elbow
    All Male 1/4" NPT
    This wonderful doo-dad is a brass elbow with 1/4" NPT-male threads on both sides.

    1/4" NPT
    Brass pipe with 1/4" NPT ends. Overall length is one and a half inches.
  • $3.50 Brass Tee
    All Male - 1/4" NPT
    Another odd brass fitting. This "tee" has 1/4" NPT male threads on each side.
  • $6.55 Brass Tube Adapter
    For Vacuum Clamping Jigs
    This ingenious fitting will allow you to use the vacuum connector to connect suction to 1/4" ID tube. Expensive little buggers but these are great for vacuum clamping jigs!
